Your Neighbourhood – Your Priorities
Speeding
As the top priority for your area, we have been problem-solving with the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) to come up with a list of locations that we are going to target, using the Speed Indication Device (SID) as part of Community SpeedWatch, and also the Ultralyte Laser gun. Please see opposite for details of how you can get involved. The sites we are going to start with are:
• Main Road, Upper Tadmarton,
• Main Road/Bloxham Road, Milcombe
• Hempton Road, Deddington.
Parking
This problem is next to be looked at by the NAG. We will update you when we have locations. If you have a problem with parking in your area, please get in touch with the Rural Team.
Antisocial Behaviour
ASB is a problem in many areas, and will be tackled by the NAG at a later date. In the meantime, the Rural team will continue to patrol ASB-prone areas. If you have anything to report please get in contact.0845 8 505 505
*Crime Alert*
We have had reports over the last few weeks about burglaries and thefts across the rural areas. This has included thefts from garages and other outbuildings, as well as car break-ins.
Please help your local policing team deter these criminals.
* REPORT all suspicious vehicles
* REMOVE all belongings from your vehicle.
* LOCK your doors and windows.
Thieves tend to be opportunistic, and taking simple precautions can reduce your risk of becoming a victim.
For more information on crime reduction, contact Jayne Taylor at Banbury on 0845 8 505 505.
Community SpeedWatch – Get Involved

PCSO Nikki Dale and residents of Hanwell launch Community SpeedWatch.
Speeding is the number one concern amongst residents living in the villages surrounding Banbury.
The Banbury Rural Team are committed to tackling this issue, and are beginning to use the Community SpeedWatch initiative to educate and enforce in areas highlighted to us as having a specific problem.
We need your help.
If you live in a village that is plagued by speeders, please contact PCSO Nikki Dale. By volunteering as a Community SpeedWatch member, you will get training in the use of the Speed Indication Device, and assist the police in dealing with your problems.
Neighbourhood Watch

Congratulations to Sibford Gower and Burdrop for recreating their Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) into something very strong and well-connected. Dare I say it – they are the best so far!
Do you think YOUR village could do better? Call 0845 8 505 505 and ask to speak to Deb Tonks for an information pack.
