Bloxham Women’s Institute

Towards the end of October, Bloxham W.I. played host to several other local W.I.s. It was an evening of good food, good friendship and incredible entertainment. ‘Our Flossie’ sang songs from musical shows and brought each to life with her ‘quick-change artist’ costume skills. It was a delight both for the eyes and the ears. Everyone went home smiling, some with a lovely raffle prize as well.
We would like to thank all those who supported the coffee morning in November, in aid of the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Service. It was so satisfying to be able to show that the charity is appreciated for its life saving work and that it is supported by the community in Bloxham.
Now winter is taking hold of us, with short days and long nights, it is really cheering to have things to look forward to along the way to spring. Those of us in Bloxham’s Women’s Institute have an intriguing talk from Julia Summers entitled, ‘Strangers in the House’ to look forward to in December, as well as a Christmas dinner with musical entertainment. Scattered through the coming months we have outings and ‘lunches’ to enjoy together.
Maybe we can look forward to seeing you in 2010. Come and banish the winter-blues for a few hours in the company of life-loving women.

Hi
Do you know if anyone who produces jam for the market would be willing to sell me 5 jam jars.
I am in Bloxham
Thank you
Lesley
Hi Lesley
Yes – I can let you have some – and so the request in this posting is now ‘sorted.’
