Thank you – from the residents of Winters Way
Mr Michael Bennett of Winters Way has been absolutely wonderful in the recent icy and snowy weather and has been risking safety to himself by going to the salt bin at the bottom of Winters Way and getting bucketful after bucketful of salt and sand to spread on the footpaths, road and the hill where we live to ensure the safety of everyone along this road, driving or walking. Also, he has taken the time to ring the council to make sure the salt-bin was re-filled when it ran out.
I believe this is beyond the call of duty as a resident in this road and everyone is very grateful. I know I am, because it enabled me to get off the hill and practice driving and take my test. (I passed!)
So, I would like to say thank you to Mr Bennett on behalf of all the residents of Winters Way. Emma Hazell
