Bloxham Bridge Club

A friendly club, meeting every Thursday night at the Parish Rooms
Would you like to play Bridge with a friendly crowd of people on Thursday nights at the Bloxham Parish Rooms? We play partners competitions on the first and third Thursdays of the month, and we have a competition for individuals called a ‘Chicago’ on the third Thursday of the month. The remaining one or two Thursdays are for ordinary rubber bridge.
A recent study claimed that that those who dance, play bridge or practise a musical instrument regularly may be warding off Alzheimer’s disease – so this is good news for those who dance, play bridge and practise a musical instrument regularly.
While we aren’t suggesting that you partake of all three activities simultaneously, the fact remains that Bridge is a fascinating game that concentrates the mind. You can’t think about your worries when you are trying to decide what to bid or what card to play.
The Parish Rooms are a comfortable and pleasant venue and the evenings start from 7.15 pm.
Why not come along one night and give it a try. Or ring one of the local contacts: MaryLou Howard on 01295 720470, or Lizzie Boyd on 01295 720107 to find out more about it.
