The Community Support Fund

A Funding Opportunity for Community Groups
Oxfordshire County Council, Social & Community Services wish to bring the ‘Community Support Fund’ to the attention of community groups.
The purpose of the fund is to increase the capacity of voluntary community groups whose activities complement our vision and priorities:
to support and promote strong communities so that people can live their lives as successfully and independently as possible to provide effective and efficient support to the most vulnerable

Applications are welcomed from

• small community groups needing start up grants
• small community groups with limited funds
• voluntary organisations developing new services
• Applications can be for amounts up to £800

All awards are to be spent within the financial year that they are granted.
To be eligible for this funding you must be able to demonstrate the following:

• the organisation/group’s aims are complementary to that of Social & Community Services
• that the organisation/group is a not-for-profit voluntary organisation or community group
• the organisation/group’s activity addresses the needs of vulnerable people living in Oxfordshire
• the group/organisation has a bank or building society account with two signatories who are not in any way related to each other.
• that you raise money from other sources as well as applying to the Community Support Fund

Priority is often given to those with limited funds. If you feel your organisation would benefit from the Community Support Fund, we would encourage you to apply, and/or to inform other groups that you work with of this limited funding opportunity.
NB – Groups who already receive funding from any department of Oxfordshire County Council are excluded from applying.
