Bloxham Ex-Servicemen’s Hall Fundraising

Bloxham Ex-Servicemen’s Village Hall, Fundraising Events
As you are probably aware there have been many improvements to the facilities at the Hall. This has cost a lot of money. Some of it came from grants and donations but much must be provided from Hall funds.
On three occasions over the last couple of years funds have been boosted by both asking for help from the village and by events that have been staged by the Hall Management
The first of these was in 2007 when a request was made for volunteers to each buy a ceiling tile and over £600 was given by villagers.
The second was a quiz night in October 2009 when 14 teams of 6 had a very enjoyable evening, including a fish & chip supper. This made over £350. .
The most recent was a St George’s Day/May Day supper and quiz on Saturday 1st May when an excellent three course supper was served to 73 diners in a superbly decorated Hall. This raised over £550 and special thanks must go to Bob Dunkin who provided sponsorship and masterminded the whole event.
Our thanks must go to all who attended and supported us.
There are still things to be done at the Hall, some more decorating and renovations to the porch are immediate works. There are others to follow as funds and opportunities arise. We still need you help!
Forthcoming events currently planned are:-

QUIZ NIGHT OCTOBER (Date to be announced)
SAINT GEORGE’S NIGHT DINNER ON SATURDAY 23rd April 2011

There may be others, but please watch for these anyway.
