This year we celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Bloxham Bowls Club and during the summer will be playing some special anniversary fixtures, as well as our normal programme of friendly and league matches. Our first game of the season is on Thursday April 27 and is a men’s league home game against South Oxford starting at 6.30pm. On Sunday May 7 we start our friendlies programme with a mixed home game against Charlbury, starting at 2.00pm.
Villagers are welcome to come along and watch games at our green, adjacent to the Jubilee Hall. We are always pleased to welcome new members, with or without previous experience. If you fancy having a go, then do come along to one of our Monday evening club sessions which will start towards the end of April and continue throughout the season. Bowls is a game for men and women of all ages and is a means of enjoying gentle exercise in the fresh air and a good social environment.
Our Club house is also available to hire for private functions. For further information on this or any interest in playing, please contact our Club Secretary on 01295 720531.
