All our members are warmly invited to our Annual General Meeting at 8pm on Tue 11 April in St Mary’s Parish Rooms, adjacent to the Church.
The formal business of the AGM typically takes 20-25 mins and provides a good opportunity for an update on activities for the last year and plans for the future, and, of course, to put any comments or questions.
This will be followed by a short talk (10-15 mins) by one of the Friends’ patrons, Sir Tony Baldry. In his capacity as Chair of the Church Buildings Council he will speak about the various initiatives being taken both by the Church of England and by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in respect of the maintenance of Parish Churches. He will also offer some reflections on the theme “Churches: Blessings not Burdens”.
We will conclude the evening with refreshments and the opportunity to discuss points raised informally.
We hope to see you there.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries, whether on this or on any other aspect of the Friends’ activities.
Best wishes Ian Myson (Chairman Friends of St Mary’s, Bloxham)
