Gardening Club – 28th Jan 2018

In these fast changing uncertain times with so much going on, looking back over 2018 – it is fair to say that Bloxham Gardening Club is in good shape.
We have had a range of topics and presentations at well attended evening meetngs, another brilliant plant sale with a good dona.on to the Katharine House Hospice, ourfinances are sound, at least for the time being!

Thanks to you all for your support, to our members for pulling their weight, and a very Merry Christmas to each and every one!

Our programme for 2019 is in place, more or less, and we are kicking off with a speaker who may well be known to many of you.
She was a tutor at the old North Oxfordshire/ Oxford and Cherwell Valley College teaching gardening, ran courses on horticulture in accordance with the RHS syllabus, and has her own gardening business. She is Corrine Mitchell. Her subject is “The Science of Soil” about the importance of the components of soil to bear in mind pre and post planning. We look forward to a presentation which will certainly be hands on and down to earth. . .

So we hope to see you, members and new comers, on Monday 28 January at 7.45pm in the Parish Rooms as usual, next to the Church, behind the Museum.
All welcome.

    Good Morning

I am the secretary of Middleton Cheney Garden Club and we are hoping your members may be interested in coming to our meeting on Monday 21st January. Our speaker is Tim Walker, lately of Oxford Botanic Gardens and now lecturer at Somerville, Pembroke and Hertford Colleges. He is one of our most popular visitors and always very entertaining. The event is in All Saints Church at 7.30 pm, with no restriction on numbers. The cost is £5.00 each which includes light refreshments and raffle for a garden voucher. His subject is titled “on top but never in control”. Intriguing as usual for him! I would love to hear from you and my details are as below. Many thanks.
