The ladies of Bloxham Knit and Natter send you all our best wishes for the coming season. We hope you will find time to visit the Joiners Arms on Sunday 3 December between 10.00 am and 3.00 pm where you will find us with lots of small Christmas items for sale.
In addition to really cute little dolls which start at £1.50, for just 50p you have a chance to win our lovable Father Christmas. He is 36cm (14″) high and was made and generously donated by one of our ladies. The lucky recipient will be telephoned later on in the day.
ALL proceeds will go to ROSY, an Oxfordshire charity, which provides respite care for terminally ill children in their own homes.
We shall be just inside the Joiners Arms so an opportunity to take a breath, buy some goodies and stay for coffee or a meal. Our thanks to the brilliant staff for letting us have the space.
In addition to our Christmas items we have an on going project. We are making octopus dolls, the tendrils of which are gripped by premature babies, which appears to give them great comfort and reduces the incidences of them puling out treatment tubes, thus making them a helpful aid for the nursing staff. For these we have to use 100% DK or 4ply yarn. If you felt able to donate any 100% cotton yarn we’d be very grateful: 01295 780 is the number to contact.
