Slade now officially a nature reserve – April 2018

Editor comment – Although many long-standing residents will be thinking – it’s been a nature reserve for as long as I can remember – it’s now officially registered as such  which imposes certain rights and obligations that offer the land and the wildlife upon it additional protection.

DECLARATION OF THE SLADE NATURE RESERVE IN THE PARISH OF BLOXHAM IN THE COUNTY OF OXFORDSHIRE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in pursuance of Section 19 of the above-mentioned Act that by the Local Nature Reserve Declaration [No 1 Declaration 2018], made on the day of 07/ 02/ 2018 2.23 hectares or thereabouts situation in the Parish of Bloxham in the County of Oxfordshire and shown edged on the plan attached to the said Declaration (has been acquired by the Council) (is the subject of an Agreement entered into with the Council under Section 19 of the above-mentioned Act) and that the said land is being managed as a Nature Reserve.

Certified copies of the said Declaration with plan attached are available for public inspection on the village Notice Boards and can be viewed on the Parish Council website www.bloxhamparishcouncil.co.uk
