Remembrance Day Service, 11th November.

Remembrance Sunday Service & Parade, 9th November.

Our annual services and parades for 2015 will take place as follows:-

The Remembrance Sunday parade will be on Sunday 9th November and will commence with the assembly of ex-service personnel, and all uniformed youth groups at the War Memorial, Bloxham, at 10.40 a.m. The service will commence at 10.45 a.m. and afterwards the parade will march to St. Mary’s Church for a service of dedication. After the service all organisations will parade outside of the church to march to the “Elephant and Castle” where the parade will dismiss.

Please Note : A section of the A361 through the village comprising High Street and Church street, between the junction with Courtington Lane and Barford Road, will be closed to through traffic between 10.15 am and 12.45 pm. Diversions by way of Courtington Lane, Tadmarton Road and Cumberford will be in place and signposted.

Parents bringing children to take part in the parade by car can access the drop off point outside of the Wesleyan Theatre / Elephant & Castle by way of Strawberry Terrace, Brickle Lane, to Chapel Street, and exit by way of Humber Street and High Street to the junction with Courtington Lane.

The Remembrance Day service will be on Tuesday 11th November and will take place at 10.45 a.m. at the War Memorial, Bloxham. Maroons will signal the beginning and end of the two minutes silence.

We cordially invite everyone to these events, especially all ex-service personnel.

Rehearsal for Standard Bearers.

A rehearsal of the Presentation of Standards during the church service for the uniformed youth groups will take place in St. Mary’s Church on Saturday 8th November, at 10 am.

Annual General Meeting and Cheese and Wine Supper.

The Annual General Meeting of the Branch will take place on Thursday 4th December at 7.30 p.m. in the Ex-servicemen’s Village Hall, Bloxham. All members, and any ex-service personnel who wish to join the branch, are invited to attend.

The meeting will be followed by a “Cheese and Wine Supper”, commencing at approximately 8.30 p.m. and which is open to everyone at a cost of £6.00 per head. Please inform any branch member if you wish to join us. Bookings will close on Saturday 27th November.
