\nAt the end of September, a group of over 30 Bloxham School students and staff climbed Scafell Pike (978m) and Ben Nevis (1345m) in aid of the school’s chosen charity, Mary’s Meals.
\nMary\u2019s Meals is a global movement that sets up school feeding programmes in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education.
\nThe charity now feeds more than 1.2 million children every school day and it costs just \u00a313.90 to feed a child for a year.
\nBloxham School\u2019s aim in climbing the peaks was to raise a targeted \u00a33000, which would be enough money for 216 children to be fed for a whole school year by Mary\u2019s Meals.<\/p>\n

In the past year, students have taken part in a sponsored swim around Broughton Castle, a triathlon, and The Long Way to Longleat, which saw two students hike from Bloxham to Longleat, Wiltshire.<\/p>\n

The group showed strength, grit and determination to conquer the challenge together, raising well over their target in sponsorship money and sharing an experience to remember.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
