Websites starting with https:\/\/ send the data to your computer in a secure encrypted form that cannot be intercepted and changed in so-called \u201cmiddle-man attacks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Because of this over the last 3 years Google and later Microsoft have been encouraging all websites to swap from addresses starting with http:\/\/ to addresses starting with https:\/\/<\/p>\n

This is undoubtedly important for sites involving transfer of critical data \u2013 like banking information \u2013 but is really much less of an issue for sites like Bloxham Online.<\/p>\n

However – this year the most popular browsers – provided by Google (Chrome) and Microsoft (Internet Explorer and Edge)\u00a0 – have started to flash up insecure warnings for all sites without https – which is over half the sites on the web!<\/p>\n

\nUnsurprisingly these warnings\u00a0 makes users nervous! Consequently, despite the very low risk to users, we have undertaken to change Bloxham Online into an encrypted website. You should now see the little locked padlock sign and the \u2018Not Secure warnings\u2019 should be gone.<\/p>\n

Because your computer caches (remembers) pages you\u2019ve previously loaded this may not happen immediately but will probably happen if you hit the refresh button in your browser and will happen in due course anyway.<\/p>\n
