BLOXHAM PARISH COUNCIL\u00a0 –\u00a0<\/b>(FEBRUARY 2026)\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n
Annual Parish Meeting <\/b>\u2014 The Bloxham Annual Parish Meeting is being held on Wednesday 22\u00a0 April 2026 at 7pm at Jubilee Hall, Bloxham. All residents are invited along to hear about the work of the\u00a0 Parish Council over the last 12 month.<\/p>\n
David Tyrrell Recreation Ground <\/b>\u2014 Three Parish Councillors and the Clerk attend a\u00a0 productive meeting of the Trustees to establish the support which is required to secure the future of\u00a0 the Recreation Ground. There now appears to be a sufficient number of Trustees for the Charity to\u00a0 continue to function effectively. The Parish Council will provide support with the grass cutting and play\u00a0 area inspections and maintenance.<\/p>\n
Grants <\/b>\u2014 The Parish Council has awarded the following grants and community donations for 26\/27:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Glass Recycling <\/b>\u2014 In case residents are\u00a0 not aware, glass (bottles\/jars) can now be\u00a0 recycled in your blue bin.<\/p>\n Elections <\/b>\u2014 There are Parish Council\u00a0 elections on Thursday 7 May 2026. If any\u00a0 residents are interested in standing as a\u00a0 Councillor and would like to join our friendly\u00a0 team, please contact the Clerk for more\u00a0 information.<\/p>\n Mailing List <\/b>\u2014 The Parish Council has set\u00a0 up a mailing list to enable residents to be\u00a0 regularly updated on issues affecting the\u00a0 village. If you would like to be added to the\u00a0 mailing list, please visit the Parish Council\u00a0 website to sign up.<\/p>\n Traffic Calming <\/b>\u2014 The Traffic Calming\u00a0 Working Group had a site meeting with officers\u00a0 from the County Council and County Councillor\u00a0 David Hingley and good progress was made with\u00a0 addressing the issues around the Primary\u00a0 school.<\/p>\n It would also help the safety situation if\u00a0 residents who drive to any of the Schools in\u00a0 Bloxham, please parked considerately as there\u00a0 are many example of dangerous parking around\u00a0 these areas, which are putting school children\u00a0 at risk. Please also avoid blocking Ells Lane\u00a0 with parked vehicles.<\/p>\n Draft Modified Bloxham\u00a0 Neighbourhood Plan <\/b>\u2014 Cherwell\u00a0 District Council\u2019s (CDC) consultation period on<\/p>\n the Draft Plan ended on Sunday 1 February 2026. Information is available on CDC\u2019s web site. The next\u00a0 step will be for the Plan to be referred by CDC to an Examiner.<\/p>\n Parish Council Meetings at Jubilee Hall, small meeting room, 7.00pm:\u00a0 02.03.26, 13.04.26 &
