Thames Water has recently offered a guided tour of the Works on 29\u00a0 July 2026 and representatives from Bloxham and Adderbury Parish Councils will be attending, along with\u00a0 District Councillor Rob Pattenden. Councillor Pattenden had also been in correspondence with the\u00a0 Environment Agency over the matter and he will continue to follow this up.<\/p>\n<p>If residents notice anything unusual along the Brook, such as smells, toilet paper, grey water or\u00a0 discolouration, please report it directly to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Environment Agency Incident Hotline: 0800 80 70 60<\/li>\n<li>Thames Water Emergency Line: 0800 316 9800<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Hedges &amp; Trees <\/b>\u2014 Residents are kindly reminded that they need to ensure that any hedges\/ trees\/bushes on their land, do not encroach over their boundary and onto the roads or footpaths. There\u00a0 are examples of hedges which are covering the footpaths and footpath users are having to move into the\u00a0 road, which is clearly very unsafe. Please note that it is currently nesting season, so any major works\u00a0 should be undertaken from 1 September 2026.<\/p>\n<p><b>Draft Modified Bloxham Neighbourhood Plan <\/b>\u2014 The Plan has been through the\u00a0 examination process and will be considered by Cherwell District Council\u2019s Executive in June 2026. Once it\u00a0 has been approved, there will then be a village referendum in due course. Further details will follow.<\/p>\n<p><b>Adult Gym Equipment <\/b>\u2014 Quotes for adult gym equipment to be located at Jubilee Park have\u00a0 been received, along with quotes for a new footpath to the site of the equipment. These will be reviewed\u00a0 and an application will be submitted to Cherwell District Council to access Section 106 funds for this\u00a0 project.<\/p>\n<p><b>Health &amp; Wellbeing Working Group <\/b>\u2014 The Group will be holding its first meeting in June\u00a0 2026 and Councillor Alex Harrison will be liaising with Cherwell District Council and village organisations.<\/p>\n<p><b>Parking on Double Yellow Lines <\/b>\u2014 A number of drivers are parking their vehicles on the\u00a0 double yellow lines on Courtington Lane, therefore, Thames Valley Police have agreed to monitor the area\u00a0 and issue parking fines, if necessary.<\/p>\n<p><b>Traffic Calming Working Group <\/b>\u2014 The Community Speed Watch Scheme is continuing to\u00a0 monitor traffic speeds in the village and will be completing more sessions in the afternoons moving\u00a0 forward. The 30mph flashing signs are also due to be replaced with 20mph flashing signs by the County\u00a0 Council in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p><b>Flooding Working Group <\/b>\u2014 Grant funding for Natural Flood Management at The Slade has been\u00a0 approved by the County Council and Councillor Neil Hegarty will be progressing the necessary works. The\u00a0 planned works to the drain line under Bloxham School car park on Courtington Lane\/Workhouse Lane\u00a0 might be delayed because tenders for the works have come in over budget. However, the Parish Council is\u00a0 working with County\/District Councillor David Hingley and affected residents with regard to finding a\u00a0 solution and bridging the funding gap.<\/p>\n<p><b>Link from Winters Way to Greenhills Park <\/b>\u2014 Investigations are being made into\u00a0 whether it is feasible to create an access or a bridge from Winters Way to Greenhills Park to improve\u00a0 connectivity around the village for pedestrians.<\/p>\n<p><b>CPR &amp; Defib Course <\/b>\u2014 A CPR &amp; defib course, funded by the Parish Council and facilitated by\u00a0 volunteers from South Central Ambulance Charity is being held on 15 July 2026, at Jubilee Hall from 7pm\u00a0 to 9pm. Please email Alex Harrison if you would like to attend. alexander.harrison@sca-charity.org.uk<\/p>\n<p><b>Fly Tipping <\/b>\u2014 County\/District Councillor David Hingley has been made aware of an increase in fly tipping in the area. If residents see any fly-tipping, please report it to the County Council\u2019s Fix My\u00a0 Street website.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u2018Drop-In and Chat\u2019 with the Parish Councillors at the
