I conferred with the Vicar and as the wind was blowing strongly and it was raining quite hard, we took the decision to hold a service in the Milcombe Chapel.<br \/>\nMy wife volunteered to stand at the Memorial and to direct people into the Church. I understand that there was some ill feeling and hostility about this and I am disappointed that people should have reacted in that way. The weather may have eased up by then but a decision had to be made. Earlier on the weather looked bad and we did not want some of the older people to have to stand out in it. (People with particularly poignant memories of war)<br \/>\nI see nothing wrong in moving into the Church.
