We had virtually no snow this winter, and this old saying seems to have had some truth in it as there have been some sad losses already this year of long-time residents of Bloxham. We have said goodbye to Claude Hemmings, Glyn Thomas, Laura Johnson and Tony Ashton, and earlier we also lost Nathalie Blakey.

Let’s hope that the coming spring and hoped-for sunshine will see more cheerful times.

For good news, it is great to see the new look Post Office, now well laid out and with much longer hours of service for those needing post office services – 7 am till 8 pm six days a week, and available even on Sundays from 7.30 am to 4 pm.
The village is fortunate in having this facility when so many villages have lost theirs.

The Broadsheet is delighted to welcome some new helpers for the production and delivery of our publication, but we would also like more input from residents –

• letters to the editor
• articles about local activities,
• travel stories etc.

Do put pen to paper and give us some fresh material to work on, and if you have interesting photos, we would love to see them too.
