Other than the large Bovis sign there may not be much to see on what used to be a buttercup meadow on the Barford Rd.

However –  soon it will accommodate the proposed Barford Road development which is to be rather aptly named Wellington Park.

The advertised 4 and 5 bedroom houses range from  £326,995 for a 4 bedroom semi through to £524,995 for the largest detached but the plans also show smaller properties will be available.

We are not sure what “coming soon” means but must assume that, weather permitting, they envisage making a start early in the new year.

Will it be  a development that makes an effort to reflect and enhance the character of the area or just another of those off-the-peg estates that you find absolutely anywhere in the country? Time will tell.
