Every year Mothers Union takes part in ’16 Days of Activism for Gender Based Violence’ This year we will mark this with a service on Tuesday,7th December at 11.30, in St Mary’s. All are welcome.
Last December we were unable to hold a Christmas Social so we are hopeful that this year will be different and we plan to mark the festive season with a buffet in St Mary’s on Tuesday 14th December.
Our first meeting in 2022 will be on Tuesday 18th January, at 14.30, again in St Mary’s, when our speaker will be Rev. Olwen Smith who will be sharing her experience of ‘Workplace Chaplaincy’ which was a major part of Olwen’s ministry before coming to Bloxham. Olwen is also involved with ‘Chaplaincy for Banbury’ a dedicated team of Christians who have been trained to support the community in Banbury, offering a listening ear and a compassionate space to those who may not have the confidence to approach others with their concerns. This meeting will give an opportunity to learn more of their role.
