Thanks to the many residents who responded to the draft Neighbourhood Plan.
There was overwhelming support for the majority of the policies and some helpful criticism and ideas that we will seek to take account of regarding things omitted or things that might be improved.
We also have a lot of detailed feedback to go through from statutory bodies such as Cherwell DC, Oxfordshire CC, The Environment Agency, Natural England etc. and some “would-be” developers. We are currently working on all this.
The next steps are:
- Submit the final Plan to Cherwell D.C. After this we get no further opportunity to amend it.
- Yet another six week consultation period for residents, statutory bodies, developers etc. to have their final say.
- An Examiner then looks at The Plan, the consultation responses and a collection of other documents we have to prepare to show that it ticks all the UK and EU legal boxes.
- If it passes the examination there will be a local referendum organised by Cherwell D.C.
- If residents vote in favour then it becomes part of planning law.
We will let you know when each of the above stages is reached.
Thanks – The BNDP Team
