Bloxham Parish Council Summary of July Meeting

Attendance; There were six Parish Councillors present. Councillors Mitchell and Thirzie Smart were present till 8.15pm

Flooding in Courtington Lane and High St were mentioned and the fact that drains are blocked.

Bench plinths – some have been lengthened to enable wheelchairs to be along side.

Warriner School Crossing now operational but Bus stop has now to be re-sited.

Lighting of High Street following accident last year. Enquiry to be made to see if there is one locally similar to that proposed that can be seen beforehand.
Bench outside of Museum/Court House needs to be replaced. Clerk to contact Mr Butler (commemorates his father) for his views.
Planning Decisions: Four received re alterations to Mildura, Beauchamp House, 40 Gascoigne Way, 2 Queen St: All agreed by CDC subject to conditions
Applications: Re change of use of Homecraft – Parish Council regretted potential loss of another resource for village. Parking was a definite issue against it, but further information needed.

Grant agreed towards re-decoration of Ex Servicemen’s Hall.
Pay Phone opposite Museum/Church: BT proposing to remove this as being uneconomical. Par-ish Council have objected on grounds of Museum accreditation, been used when someone taken ill in church,only payphone on busy A361 .Letters required before end of July to CDC.
