Parish Council Notes – April 2008

Seven Parish Councillors were present. Cllr Heath was present for part of the meeting.
Issues raised: flooding in Tadmarton Road, road signs out of Bloxham Grove, condition of pathway in the Avenue and potholes in Workhouse Lane.

Cycleway from Banbury to Bloxham on A361 would be an excellent idea.

Proposed new lighting columns on High St/Church St should fit in with conservation area.

Play areas on developed sites to be surveyed/checked

Road names for Milton Road site: Besides Collins, Ayres and Bridges to be proposed.

Planning: Applications: Two received relating to Trees, Others for installation of telephone pole and antennae at Yew Tree Farm, Replacement of of single storey annexe to create new dwelling for Pophley, Banbury Rd, and Additional dormer windows for Bag End,Tadmarton Rd. Re outline application for erection of warehouses on Barford Rd noted that 5 against; 1 for and 1 abstained. Appeal: Granted for demolition of The Poplars, Banbury Rd and the building of 3 dwellings in its place.

Emergency Planning for village – Small group to consider .

Meeting with Bloxham School on 4th March summarised: 150th anniversary of foundation of school in 2010.

Date and Time of Next Meeting: 12th May 2008 at 7.30pm. (since first Monday is Bank Holiday) The agenda is posted on the Notice boards in the village before this. Any resident can attend and if there are any issues they wish to raise, this can be done at the beginning of the meeting.
