Present : There were Six Parish Councillors present.
Co-option: Parish Council agreed for Nicholas Raynor to be approached to be co-opted as a councillor. (More details hopefully next month)
Flooding: Following a very beneficial meeting on Thursday 5th January there will be a follow up meeting on 28th April to hear what has happened. Environment Agency have announced that in August there will be four weeks of clearing of ob¬stacles from Brook downstream of Bloxham, and in October 2 weeks to clear vegetation, etc from Brook itself near to main roads.
Allotments: A number of enquiries have been made. Attempts to find some appro¬priate land to be undertaken.
Widening of Junction of Barford Rd/Milton Rd: OCC have no funding to be able to do this.
Jubilee Park : Parish Council held meeting with Jubilee Park Management Committee on 28th January 2009.
Planning Applications: Clerk has been delegated the power to make decisions on these subject to consultation with or direction from sub group.
Withdrawal: erection of 5 dwellings on Temple Close Nursery area
Application: Erection of log cabin for 62 Tadmarton Rd: No objection.
Decision from CDC: Single storey extension for 2 Hyde Grove: Agreed subject to conditions
Tree Preservation order confirmed for ash tree adjacent to 60 Tadmarton Rd.
Emergency Plan for Bloxham: Flooding telephone numbers now obtained from Environment Agency. It is hoped that leaflets will be available giving numbers, etc in shops, etc – fuller details with councillors by next meeting.
CDC: Recreation Strategy: Clerk to attend meeting on 4th March.
Spring Clean: Parish Council decided that due to Insurance and Health and Safety issues not to participate this year.
Next meeting : 2nd March 2009 in Parish Rooms at 7.00pm.
It is hoped representative of Environment Agency will attend. (Watch this space!)
