Bloxham Parish Council – Summary of January meeting

Present: There were Nine Parish Councillors present. Cllr Heath was present from the start and Cllr Mitchell arrived later.
Vacancy on Parish Council: No one has come forward, so the vacancy will be filled by co-option.
Statement about Freedom of Information Act: to go on website.
Flooding in Bloxham: Meeting to be held for all at Jubilee Hall on Thursday 8th January. (See elsewhere for summary).
Christmas Tree: socket and electric power socket to be inserted on the Green.
Siting of new litter/dog bins: to be determined.
Speed activated Chevrons: to be inserted on A361 near to New Rd, Milcombe.
Recreation Ground Trustees: have accepted ownership of new safety surface.
Planning: (from OCC) Diversion of Bodicote/Bloxham footpath. Application for 5 houses (not four) on Temple Close Nursery site: comments were that outline planning permission already agreed for four -note was made about height of proposed houses, safe access onto and from A361, and what are proposals re grey water from site, especially in view of flooding.
Decisions (from CDC): Felling of various trees for The Chantry:
Agreed; single storey extension for 2 Hyde Grove: Agreed subject to conditions
Refusal: Dwelling at 15 High St.
Parish Plan: Questionnaire now completed and due to be circulated in village in next few weeks.
Budget 2008/9: Some individual budgets are overspent. Agreed for Clerk to transfer monies from other individual budgets. Precept for 2009/10 to be set at £50,000.
Next meeting: 2nd February 2009 in Parish Rooms at 7.30pm. (Time to be confirmed as Police may be attending)
The agenda: is posted on the Notice boards in the village before this. Any resident can attend and if there are any issues they wish to raise, this can be done at the beginning of the meeting.
