On Wednesday 20th May Hugh Hinde will talk about ‘Sporting Guns’, beginning around 1650 when shooting was rather ‘for the pot’ than strictly for sport. As guns developed so did game shooting and a more ‘sporting’ approach to it. Hugh will show us a number of original guns and maybe fire with blanks. He also has some unusual ‘finds’ from the village.
Meetings take place on the third Wednesday of the month in the Jubilee Park Hall at 8.pm. followed by tea and coffee. Visitors are very welcome.
