The W.I. had a Cheese and Wine party on the 6th August at the Jubilee Park Hall. Ann & Peter Shaw, once again, came up trumps organising and catering for the whole event, what a team! A quiz was displayed on the wall for anyone who wanted to enter. The entertainment was provided by Mr John Hunt with his barrel organs. He had made them himself and explained their construction. The music was excellent interspersed by monologues i.e. Albert and the Lion etc.
Praise must also be given to the ‘helpers’ who polished off the washing-up and clearing away very efficiently. A very enjoyable evening.
