The National Lottery-funded Heritage Group of the “Building our Future” project at St Mary’s Church has established a team of tour guides to provide tours of the church and churchyard. These bring to life the history, art, architecture, stories and characters associated with what is “one of the grandest churches in the country” according to Pevsner’s Buildings of England, and an important focus of Bloxham village life for over a thousand years.

The tours last about an hour and a quarter and there is a charge of £5 per head, with all proceeds going to the “Building our Future” appeal.

There are two upcoming tours open to the public:

• Mon 12 June, 6.45pm
