We’re often asked to advertise local companies. Because we are a community focused website, as a matter of policy we don’t normally carry adverts for commercial events or services.   We do carry most of the articles contained in the paper version broadsheet but also carry many more articles on time-sensitive events that fall between the publishing dates of the paper edition.  Despite the similarity of names the paper and online Broadsheets are run by separate groups who  – in the public interest – engage in much sharing.

So – where can you find a local plumber, gardener or carer  or where can you advertise your services?

The Bloxham Broadsheet

For Bloxham, the first place to look is in the paper edition of the Bloxham Broadsheet which does carry advertisments for a whole host of different commercial enterprises.  If you live in Bloxham you should get a copy of this direct to your door.

The LetterBox

Cherwell “It’s Local” Business Directory

Another place to find local businesses is on the Cherwell Local site. This exists online and you can find it by visiting http://www.itslocalcherwell.co.uk/.

You can specify the service you need and it will provide the names of registered local providers on a map along with contact information.     Itslocal is free for customers to use and for companies to advertise.

Banbury Cross Website

Another place worth looking for local businesses is the Banbury Cross website.

Thompson Local, Yellow Pages,  192    etc.

And there are, of course, those national advertising organisations that we are all familar with.

So – We hope you understand that this website (or FaceBook page) do not carry commercial adverts – but there are plenty of others who do!
