Neighbourhood Plan – Dec update

What’s happened?

The Parish Council approved the current Bloxham Neighbourhood Plan at their December Meeting. There is, however another Parish Council Meeting on 5th January prior to the official launch of the Neighbourhood Plan Consultation Period which starts on 10th January 2015 and runs for for 6 weeks.

The consultation period will give all stakeholders (residents, land-owners, potential developers and various organisations) a chance to express their views on the policies.

Shortly before 10th January we will make available the version that is to be used for the consultation along with a summary.

Why has it taken so long?

The documents you will get do not tell you the whole story.

  • The summary is 1 page and gives a simplified list of the N.P. policies.
  • The Full Plan is 27 pages and provides more background context.
  • The evidence upon which the Plan is based comes from around 400 pages of Bloxham Working Group & Questionnaire Reports.
  • The above reports are informed by around 35,000 pages of  other planning documents!

What Next?

In January we will tell you about a number of ways that you can tell us what you think.
There will be  both on-line and on paper options BUT it will massively help us and speed up the process if you choose the on-line option.

Thank you for your on-going support and HAPPY CHRISTMAS!
