The neighbourhood plan has gone off for a “pre-MOT” by an examiner (no – not a car mechanic!) who will give us feedback before we finally submit it for the real examination.
One of the criticisms from the consultation was that we were only accepting 20 new homes in the period through to 2031. We all know we will see more like 250 during that time from the existing permissions.
We are allowed to count all permissions granted after March 2015 and this would include the “Frampton” Milton Rd site for 85 dwellings. In order to make this clearer the revised plan talks about 105 dwellings. This is the 85 mentioned above along with the 20 originally mentioned.
We will also be submitting a detailed “Sustainability Report” that spells out what the situation is REALLY like in Bloxham regarding schools, traffic, footpaths, flooding etc.
We are heartened by the Cherwell officer’s response to the recent proposed development near Crabtree Close in that it did seem that it was finally dawning that Bloxham is already playing “infrastructure catch-up!”
Meanwhile the above mentioned Milton Rd site is to be developed by Miller Homes and they have submitted their site plans which do seem to have taken on-board quite a few of the concerns expressed by residents. You can see a full sized copy on the Cherwell site but we know many people struggle to access this and so we’ve put a copy here. (Be warned it’s a 4MB file that may take a while to load – unless you’ve already switched to superfast broadband!)
