West Oxfordshire District Council has submitted an ‘Expression of Interest’ to central government to develop a garden village around 2,200 homes off the A40 to the north of Eynsham by 2031 and today it was announced that the plan has been accepted.

All councils are requiredto provide new housing development and adopting this format allows the council to unlock funds to improve infrastructure  by boosting the case for improvements to transport links and  creating a school, community resources, and a science/business park to offer employment that does not entail travel to Oxford.
