Like many places in the UK Bloxham has a digital divide.
- Some access the web as their first port of call for information.
- For others, although mostly they do have an internet connection, checking the web is simply not an idea that would occur to them.
So it is with the online broadsheet. The numbers of users is increasing (see graph below) but there will still be many residents who rely totally on the paper broadsheet for information about what happens in Bloxham.
Don’t get us wrond – we think the paper broadhseet is a great little magazine – which is why we reproduce the articles from it.
What it can’t do is get information out to residents within 24 hours or less if urgent.
So – why not encourage your local friends and neighbours to “top-up” their paper broadsheet reading with a “daily dip” into our online edition.
That way they get the best of both worlds!

We are also aware of the increasing proportion os users who access our pages through small screen devices – mostly mobile phones.
We are aware the site is not currently well designed for these – but getting something that’s right for a 50 inch flat screen TV and a mobile phone is quite a demanding task. A task that we hope to tackle later in the year so apologies to mobile users who are currently wearing their fingers out expanding the text size!!
