The first photograph was taken in the early days, when the pages came flat and had to be collated on top of one another and then folded. Each copy took a couple of minutes to fold. They were then piled in hundreds for the young deliverers to collect for distribution. The process with about eight or more people folding took about two hours. There was plenty of gossip and a cup of tea of course.
The second photograph was taken a week or so ago. Now the process is much quicker and we need fewer people. The Broadsheets come from the printer to size and ready stapled. It only takes a short while to fill bags with the required number for the distributors. Incidentally we now have mostly adults delivering.
Broadsheets are delivered to each house in the village, every month except August and January.
