The Committee would like to say thank you to everybody for their support and their questions – all of which we have answered. Following our enquiry as to whether the contributors and pledgers agreed with Fullers starting negotiations with the Pages before the end of January the consensus was to allow this to proceed.  This was on the basis that there would be no change of use for the buildings and garden and that the Red Lion should reopen as a pub/restaurant. Consequently this result was reported to Fullers.

We can also add that all the indications are that Mark & Sandra may close the deal to buy in late January – that we have had positive indications from Fullers that they are hoping to close the deal too. However things can always go wrong with a property sale so we will stay ready in the wings in case anything should go wrong and thank everybody for leaving their money with us until the deal is closed. If anyone has had a change of address then please let us know.
