The Three Spires Challenge

runner

The second running of the above event takes place on the 11th July 2009.
It is known as the Three Spires Challenge as the route follows the spires of Bloxham, Adderbury and Kings Sutton – following the old local rhyme of

  • Bloxham for length,
  • Adderbury for strength,
  • Kings Sutton for beauty.

The route is approximately a half marathon and is a challenging but beautiful multi-terrain run open to runners of all ability
For those who find that distance a bit daunting there is a shorter 10 k run on the same day plus a kids’ run. Further information and entry details can be found at www.adderburyrunningclub.co.uk.
The route passes through Bloxham (from Bloxham Grove to the Church) and if any villagers are interested in volunteering to act as Marshalls the organisers would be very grateful to hear from them. Further details on this can be obtained by contacting the Adderbury Running club Chairman – James Young via email – jy@why50.com or phone –810231.
