Bloxham Parish Council – Summary of January Meeting

Present:

Eight councillors and No residents were present.

Letter from Resident raised issue of condition of part of Stone Hill.

Siting of Benches:

Highways are checking on existence of other services in areas.

Charter Housing not prepared to close passageway between The Avenue and Winters Way.

Work on Pedestrian Crossing by Warriner School is now scheduled to begin 28th January.

Japanese Knotweed in village:

Environmental Group to check on effectiveness of spraying. Risk Assessment/Management: Document accepted by all.

Planning:

Front Porch for 12 Strawberry Hill, felling of tree at former Nursery Close School, 21 low level lights for car park at Dewey Sports Centre: No objections

Decisions from CDC:

Garage Conversion for 1 Lawrence Leys,_extension for 7 Strawberry Hill – Agreed subject to conditions Withdrawal: extension for 1 Quarry Close; Refusal: Extension for Croyde, S.Newington Rd. Finance: Budget and Precept for coming year agreed. Dates for flying of Union Flag in 2008 agreed.

Date and Time of Next Meeting:

4th Feb. at 7.00pm when Jeremy Sascha will be speaking with us – to be followed by session on Training re Future Responsibilities of Parish Councils The agenda is posted on the Notice boards in the village before this. Any resident can attend and if there are any issues they wish to raise, this can be done at the beginning of the meeting
