Strategic Environmental Assessment published
The Parish Council has published its Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) which has informed the draft Neighbourhood Development Plan.
Please visit the PC web site to review the Assessment and the draft Plan.
Addendum – What is an SEA?
The SEA evaluates the likely significant effects of the plan on the environment. This includes direct, indirect and cumulativ effects on various environmental factors such as biodiversity, water quality, air quality, and cultural heritage. If potential negative impacts are identified, the SEA should propose measures to mitigate these effects and minimize harm.
In summary, a Strategic Environmental Assessment should be a vital tool in the planning process, ensuring that environmental factors are considered and addressed in the development of neighbourhood plans.
