THE MELLSTOCK BAND

“Merrymaking and Courtship through the Country Year”

The Mellstock Band have for decades celebrated the authentic sounds of English traditional folk music.

This unique show – in period costume and providing the rare opportunity to hear instruments like the concertina and serpent follows the festivities of the rural year.

Songs and instrumental music are accompanied by the words of Thomas Hardy, John Clare and other memorable writers of country life.
