School-Home Transport Consultation – 12th Dec 2013
We’ve only taken a quick look but there has to be something a bit odd about only providing free transport to your nearest school rather than your catchment area school.
Isn’t this tantamount to saying only the better off will be able to send their children to the catchment school in which case they are effectively re-drawing catchment areas whilst avoiding the required consultation.
We understand the need to save money but if you are going to change catchment areas then doing it just for the less well off is a bit dodgy!
