1st Bloxham Scouts

GOOD NEWS!

We are very grateful to have 3 new eager Beaver leaders.

There is some training and organisation to do to get the new Colony ready to go, so please keep an eye on our website for further details.
For those parents who have already registered their children, we will be in touch nearer the time.
1st Bloxham Scouts are having a stall at Bloxham Apple Day on 30 th September 3-6pm, where we will be running some activities. Please come and say hello!
Scouts is continuing to run on a Thursday evening with Graham and Mark as leaders.
Mark joined the team as a volunteer 12 months ago. He had no previous Scouting Leadership experience but having been a scout in his youth, he wanted to give something back and help
support young people. Mark said, “It doesn’t take much of my time and it has been really fun and rewarding. For me it feels like a win-win.”

We need more volunteers…

Sadly, due to illness and changes in circumstances we have had to close our Cub Pack.
We are unable to restart unless we have 3 leaders. You could help by joining the team.

Unlike Mark, you don’t need to have been a Scout or have any experience, just keen to get involved.
Training/support is given and there are many ways you could help.

Beavers (6-8 years) – re-establishing the group, waiting list for children
Cubs – boys/girls aged 8 – 10.5 years
Scouts runs on Thursdays – boys/girls aged 10.5 – 14 years, 7 – 8.30pm
