BOF stands for Building Our Future  and is the longstanding project to bring St Mary’s Bloxham Church into a facility that matches the needs of our 21C community.

The Celebratory Reception on Friday evening to mark the completion of the new West End facilities in St Mary’s, organised jointly by the Friends and St Mary’s PCC, went very well.

Many thanks to everyone who came along. We think we probably had about 200 join us. It was a great social occasion bringing our community together, with music from St Mary’s Music Group, St Mary’s Choir and Warriner Baroque, an opportunity to thank God and everyone who has contributed in any way to the project, and also served to launch St Mary’s as an improved venue for community uses alongside its core function as a place of worship and prayer – a venue that now combines good facilities with a magnificent and beautiful historic setting.

….And you won’t have to wait long to experience the facilities being put to good use as the first large-scale public event to benefit from the new facilities takes place this coming Saturday evening (20th April 2024) with a concert from the Cherwell Choral Society: see separate post on this.
