Midnight Walk Success! Katharine House Hospice was delighted with the success of its 2nd Fundraising Midnight Walk, held on 28th June. It was a fantastic event, with nearly 650 Walkers taking part. They set off at Midnight from Cotefield Garden Centre, to a rousing rendition of the Proclaimers “(I would walk 500 miles), to make their way around the 13 mile course.
Awaiting them on their return was a delicious bacon butty and commemorative balloon release! An outstanding £76,000 was pledged in sponsorship on the night and is arriving at the Fundraising Office in a steady stream! A huge Thank You to all those who supported the event!
Banbury Bench Press Annual Charity Event 2pm, Sunday 14th September, Que Pasa, Banbury. Local power-lifter, Steve De-Meis is holding his annual Bench Press Event in aid of Katharine House Hospice and Dogs for the Disabled. The event is open to anyone and has a £15 entry fee. Application forms can be downloaded from www.banburybenehpress.co.uk or by calling Sarah at Katharine House. Spectators are also very welcome (£2.50 adults and £1.00 children) and a full bar and barbeque will be available.
Volunteer Gardeners Needed Do you have green fingers and a few hours a week free to help Katharine House in the Hospice gardens? We are currently looking for volunteer gardeners to help with the upkeep of these beautiful gardens.  Please call Lucinda Lloyd, Administration Manager for further information.
