Mailing List – The Parish Council has set up a mailing list to enable residents to be regularly updated on issues affecting the village. If you would like to be added to the mailing list, please visit the Parish Council website to sign up.

Flooding A Flood Resilience Workshop was hosted by the Parish Council on Thursday 25 September 2025 at at Jubilee Hall, from 7pm to 9pm. There was feedback on the achievements of the Working Group, as well as updates on the actions following the County Council’s Section 19 Report on the floods in 2024. Thank you to all the residents who attended.

Vacancies There are two vacancies on the Parish Council and it anyone would like to join our friendly team, please contact the Clerk for more information.

Draft Modified Bloxham Neighbourhood Plan Consultation The Plan has been approved by

the Parish Council for submission to Cherwell District Council, along with a Conditions Statement and Consultation Statement. All documents are available to view on the Parish Council web site. Residents have another opportunity to comment on the Plan, when Cherwell District Council starts its own consultation process.

Traffic Calming The Traffic Calming Working Group is now meeting on a monthly basis and the minutes of the meetings are published on the PC web site. One for the main focuses of the Group will will be addressing parking and traffic issues around the Primary and Secondary Schools. A meeting was held with District Councillor David Hingley on this subject and there are a number of items Councillor Hingley will be actioning with the County Council.

Parish Council Meetings – Residents are reminded

that they are very welcome to attend Parish Council meeting to watch how the Parish Council operates. The meetings are not public meetings for debate between the Parish Council and residents, the meetings open to the public to watch only, except when invited to address the Parish Council during the ten minute Open Forum.

Remembrance Day Parade The Remembrance Day Parade will be held on Sunday 9 November 2025 and a road closure will operating along the A361 from 1030am to 130pm. There will be access and egress to homes and businesses, but no through traffic.

Sean Woodcock MP A meeting will be requested with Sean Woodcock MP to discuss issues affecting the village, especially in relation to planning matters.

Community Health & Wellbeing Group The Parish Council will be establishing a new Group to bring together other groups in the village to try and enhance the health and wellbeing of the community and identify mutual benefits of working together.

Christmas Tree and Lights The Christmas tree and lights will be erected in the village around the end of November/beginning of December 2025. Repair work to the sockets on the street lights will be completed during October 2025 which will ensure all the lights are working correctly.

Community Events Councillors will be investigating possible community events for the village. More details will follow in due course.
