BLOXHAM PARISH COUNCIL  – (FEBRUARY 2026) 

Annual Parish Meeting — The Bloxham Annual Parish Meeting is being held on Wednesday 22  April 2026 at 7pm at Jubilee Hall, Bloxham. All residents are invited along to hear about the work of the  Parish Council over the last 12 month.

David Tyrrell Recreation Ground — Three Parish Councillors and the Clerk attend a  productive meeting of the Trustees to establish the support which is required to secure the future of  the Recreation Ground. There now appears to be a sufficient number of Trustees for the Charity to  continue to function effectively. The Parish Council will provide support with the grass cutting and play  area inspections and maintenance.

Glass Recycling — In case residents are  not aware, glass (bottles/jars) can now be  recycled in your blue bin.

Elections — There are Parish Council  elections on Thursday 7 May 2026. If any  residents are interested in standing as a  Councillor and would like to join our friendly  team, please contact the Clerk for more  information.

Mailing List — The Parish Council has set  up a mailing list to enable residents to be  regularly updated on issues affecting the  village. If you would like to be added to the  mailing list, please visit the Parish Council  website to sign up.

Traffic Calming — The Traffic Calming  Working Group had a site meeting with officers  from the County Council and County Councillor  David Hingley and good progress was made with  addressing the issues around the Primary  school.

It would also help the safety situation if  residents who drive to any of the Schools in  Bloxham, please parked considerately as there  are many example of dangerous parking around  these areas, which are putting school children  at risk. Please also avoid blocking Ells Lane  with parked vehicles.

Draft Modified Bloxham  Neighbourhood Plan — Cherwell  District Council’s (CDC) consultation period on

the Draft Plan ended on Sunday 1 February 2026. Information is available on CDC’s web site. The next  step will be for the Plan to be referred by CDC to an Examiner.

Parish Council Meetings at Jubilee Hall, small meeting room, 7.00pm:  02.03.26, 13.04.26 & 11.05.26  

Drop-In and Chat at Ex-Servicemen’s Hall, 1030am to 1130am on the  second Saturday of the month
